Strong communities are built by the people who lead, advocate, and create space for others to belong. Across the country, LGBTQ+ leaders are doing this work every day—organizing locally, supporting their communities, and driving progress where it matters most.
Through Wyld Works, we’re committed to supporting those leaders by investing in the spaces and networks that help them thrive. That’s why we partner with the Equality Federation, a national organization dedicated to strengthening state-based LGBTQ+ groups and the people behind them.
At its core, the Equality Federation focuses on building power at the community level—providing funding, training, and connection points for leaders working across all 50 states. From leadership development programs to national convenings, their work is designed to equip advocates with the tools, relationships, and support systems needed to create lasting change.
Wyld’s support helps make these spaces possible—bringing together LGBTQ+ leaders from across the country to connect, share knowledge, and recharge. These gatherings are more than just events; they are restorative, community-centered environments where individuals can step back from the demands of advocacy and return to their work with renewed energy and alignment.
This kind of support is critical. Progress for LGBTQ+ communities often happens at the state and local level, where policies directly shape people’s day-to-day lives. By strengthening the leaders and organizations doing that work, the Equality Federation helps build a more resilient, connected movement—one capable of advancing equity, defending rights, and expanding opportunity nationwide.
At Wyld, we see this partnership as an investment in people first. Because when leaders are supported, communities grow stronger. And when communities are connected, collective progress becomes possible.
Because lasting change doesn’t happen alone—it happens together.
